Disaster

My phone rang. The voice on the other side communicated a tragedy that had happened to them. I was angered by the injustice of the situation and my heart felt heavy. I dropped what I was doing and just went and sat with them while they cried.

I got a message on Facebook. It was written in a confessional tone. "Danny I need help." The message went onto describe some deep personal sins and a desire to get back on track with God. I wasn't sure how to help but I walked to meet with this individual. I sat and listened cried at the hurts and looked for hope in the darkness.

I got a text message proclaiming that demons were torturing them. From the graphic images that they shared with me, i believe them. We came together and prayed against the lies and fear. It was overwhelming.

I passed this sign on my way to meet each of these people. I had to stop for a moment and pray. I was on my way toward disaster. My response was to travel toward them. To meet them in the midst of the accident scene and to perform some spiritual triage to help them survive the trip to the hospital.
